A fruitful long weekend

What a religious irony, but thank God for the Vesak Day hols.

I had a good rest this long weekend, with time spent with my friends and doing what I wanted to do.

Went for my final rehearsal on Saturday before my Evening With Friends concert. Spent a solid 10 hours singing. Never sung so much in my life since my college choir days. And the best part is, I didn't feel any strain at all, though my speaking voice seemed higher after rehearsal...

Watched Star Wars III: Revenge Of The Sith on Sunday. It was the only Star Wars movie which I managed to stay awake throughout and understand the whole thing! The way Yoda swung his lightsabre... Whoa... And Ewan McGregor as Obiwan Kenobi... *swoon*... Now I'm looking forward to watching episodes IV, V and VI... Does anyone have the DVDs of them...?!?!?!

Evening With Friends was last night. It was very good - a sell-out concert, an appreciative and sometimes over-zealous audience (they clapped even before the songs ended... *haiz*) The sound check was quite freaky, though... Couldn't hear the other Altos on stage, so was feeling quite scared and stressed before the concert. But really, God was with us throughout the concert, and it went well, and the music just flowed through. Though I got feedback that we should sing more English songs... Hmm... not for me to decide the repertoire though... Was on a concert high last night, couldn't sleep. At least the whole process of dragging my feet to rehearsals paid off... And I did feel revitalised musically...
