Jap food!

Had Jap food for 2 consecutive dinners with the Hock Beng and Wei Dee on Wed and Thurs night. Wed night was at this eatery located at the ground floor of empress cinema, where KFC used to be. apparently, KFC has shifted to where coffee bean used to be, which means there's no more coffee bean now, and it makes me very sad. :(

anyway, the food there... cheap, but not very good. the tempura, according to my colleague, didn't taste good. my oyaku don still had too much onion, even though i requested for less onion. (maybe i should request for no onion!) only consolation was there was free flow of green tea, which looks brown...

thurs night was at ichiban boshi @ great world city. Kelvin joined us as well. had wanted to eat at kuriya on the 2nd floor, but too ex. food was excellent! fresh raw stuff, good quality, but pricey! guess it's a case of yi4 fen1 qian2, yi4 fen1 huo4! tho my ebi tempura got a bit jelat after a while... but good place to go if you want good food and ambience.

guess i won't be eating jap food at least for the next 2 months... or maybe i would...?!?! hmm...
