Me and "him"...!

Had the most romantic affair with the car this week. Had the Lancer to myself for 5 consecutive days...!!! *woohoo*!!! no parental supervision!!! drove to school in the morning on wednesday, drove to SGH, comex and other places on thurs (read blog on 1/9), drove to school on friday, drove to mr sies's daughter's wedding and thereafter to esplanade and west coast park last night, and to church and leng kee today, the usual. the most i've driven ever since i got my license, and explored the most places, places i have never driven before on my own. which made me do stupid mistakes, like missing a turn or taking a wrong turn... :(

i love my Lancer! love him more each day! (notice i'm using "him" - he's such a macho thing, but still has the gentle side of him - what i want in a real man!) love his purring engine, and that it responds the way i want him to. i took it upon myself too to decorate him to reflect my personality. that explains the ACS car decal, the Winne the pooh cushion, the baby Tigger on the dashboard and the Piglet figurine dangling from the rear-view mirror. if my car is blue, and if I had it my way, I will definitely decorate him with PPG...!!!

but at times, i really take the car for granted. realised i've been speeding more often, making too many sharp turns and braking all too often. the way i drive now seems like i'm trying to show off my "skillfulness" behind the wheel. got a scolding by my dad today for driving recklessly (or so my parents say.) gotta reflect now, otherwise i'll put my life and others' at risk. got a feeling now that i've scared some of my passengers away... :( may be fine to scare some, though, but definitely won't wanna scare some others...!

gimme time, Lancer... gimme time, mum and dad... gimme time, friends. i'll make amends...

I feel that my relationship with the Lancer is like Takumi's relationship with his AE86 on Initial D. totally can relate to it when i watch the anime. maybe i'm really influenced by initial D... speaking of which, i'm midway through the 2nd stage. think better finish it soon, otherwise Allan will start making noise...! :p
