My dying laptop
I'm very depressed. Dunno what's wrong with my personal laptop. When it starts up, the screen only shows my wallpaper and My Documents folder. No desktop icons, no start menu, no toolbar at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Can't even establish internet connection... :( Don't think it's the hard disk problem, since it can start up. Charles suggested reinstalling Windows XP. Paul offered to check my laptop for me on Sunday in church. Think I'll let him check before I decide to do anything drastic...
Speaking of drastic, heard COMEX is on 1-4 Sept. Was thinking of going down on the 1st. Maybe I'll spend $2000+ on a new, slimmer laptop with more powerful features and BIGGER hard disk space (60GB!).
Education News
Went for the music coord's briefing on Tuesday. Talked about the proposed N(T) music syllabus. Apparently, music will be offered as an N-level subjects for N(T) students starting 2008. I'm not in the position to disclose the syllabus etc, as it is not yet official. But I think it's high time such a syllabus is put in place, seeing also how many N(T) students are interested in digital music. Actually, there are many many interesting electives for the N(T) students, some which are already offered. It includes things like motorcycle maintenance, sound engineering, and... dig this... handphone maintenance! If only such things were offered during my time, man...! Makes me hope that teachers can also take the electives as well... :)
Would love to update more, but I gotta bring my class out now... egg farm and goat farm. Wonder how it'll be like...
later...
