Finally... dinner at Lawry's...

Was at the West Zone Colours Award Ceremony yesterday. As with every year, always felt lost there. While all my PE Dept colleagues were like busy catching up with their fellow PE counterparts, I was lost... with no one I know... no one to talk to... Even with AC Choir being there, the teachers i/c were like also too busy to talk to me... :( just waved and said hi and that's it. *sigh* At least I saw Mrs Tong (my Sec 4 FT) yesterday. Well, she remembered me as the "music one" but can't remember my name... :( saw Ms Kon there too... and caught up a bit with Derek Ho (my JC classmate.) Think he remembers my face, but not my name... :( he's now contract-teaching in ACJC, so was there yesterday to help Mr. Lawrence Ang out. hmm... can't imagine Derek being a teacher... :p

Had my much-awaited dinner at Lawry's yesterday. When they said "ribs", i thot it was pork ribs. didn't know it was beef...! and the only pork they had there was bacon!!! This is really a case of yi4 fen1 qian2, yi4 fen1 huo4. Normally, i thot that if i ordered my beef well-done, it'll be very tough. But in this case, even tho my beef was well-done, it was suprisingly still tender! and it was GOOD! even their cakes are good. their coffee and tea are good too... basically, all their dishes were very good! service was good, too. the waitress was very polite, tho her pronunciation was quite off. (i heard her say "cut" as "card", and i dun think it's me... :P ) and they dun serve plain water. So i paid for one bottle of still mineral water for $6.50! should have ordered sparkling water and pay the same price!!! so anyway, the bill incurred by the 3 of us came up to $320+. a very expensive meal, but well worth it. won't mind going back again... :)

next stop: Les Amis...
