East-meets-West dinner

Had an enjoyable family dinner just now with the folks. Mummy mentioned earlier this week that there was a new Botak Jones outlet in Bt Batok. I finally managed to find out it's located at BLK 233, Bt Batok East Ave 5, so we decided to go there for dinner today.

Mummy was saying that her colleague mentioned the yu tao luo (鱼头炉?) is not bad, so she ordered a portion. It IS not bad... though Mummy complained about the soup being too watery... The fried fish was good too.

I did have to queue up for a while just to order a regular Fish and Chips (decided to have that against the salmon cuz of the price). The waiter told me the waiting time was 15-20min, but it didn't seem that long when the food came.

So there you have it... our East-meets-West dinner... all fish related... hmm...

Went home feeling satisfied... but the challenge now is to fast for the next 8h before my health check tomorrow morning... 忍!
