Akeelah and the Bee

I highly recommend EVERYONE - not just teachers and students - to watch Akeelah and the Bee. Watched it with the parents today. Didn't expect anything from it at first, but was truly glad I decided to watch it. You can read the synopsis here.

A very touching movie on believing in your own abilities, overcoming your own fears, humility... A good movie to illustrate life's lessons.

Those of you who know me long enough know I hardly cry at the movies - not even after watching Titanic 3 times. But today, my tear glands just decided to work. Cried especially at the scenes between Akeelah and Dr. Larabee. Dear me. Think my heart has softened...
