I just find it funny when I chanced upon The Simpson's Movie webpage and moused over Singapore, and the icon comes out in Chinese... I'm just wondering what's the implication...

That they still think Singapore is part of China...???

And to think a lot of us (myself included) are still non-conversant in that language...

Yes, I know I've not updated in a long while.. AGAIN! I know it gets depressing/irritaing that whenever you guys click on this page, you still see the same thing and nothing updated.. Well, I hope this post whets your appetite somewhat.. :p

Finally! It's the June hols now. At least there's *some* space for me to breathe... But it doesn't help that I'm now sitting at my laptop feeling feverish and having a bad throat... :(

Hols started with Youth Camp (31 May - 2 June) at GBHQ. Went there as an adult leader, tho honestly I think I can just pass off as one of the youths.. :p Not too bad - must be one of the most slack camp I've ever been to. Never been to a camp where I can sleep so much during the day! Really thank God that I've the chance to get to know many of the youths better - people whom I won't even get a chance to talk to much in church e.g. Becca, Valencia, Evelyn, ... Was definitely a good experience.

Am thankful that I finally have a chance to just stay home and chill and do all the things I wanna do. Just got myself an office chair from Ikea (finally!), so that makes working at home more conducive. I also have many many DVDs to watch, thanks to 维乐丽. Also the many many videos on my laptop I've yet to watch... and also not forgetting that there's also the MEd and Staff Retreat stuff that I've to read, coupled with the stuff I've to do in church too... I still have to go back to school some days tho, with the Speech Day stuff...

So.. yeah.. have so much things to do that I don't have time to feel lonely and miserable.. *hmm*, but must also make sure I get enough rest before the crazy term 3. Do check back here, ok... I will update this blog periodically... *promise*

In the meantime, I need to get myself a new keyboard. This powderful no-brand office keyboard is getting non-responsive - have to hit on the keys real hard for the letters to appear. Serves as good training too for hitting the ivories, I guess. Am eyeing on the cheapo Logitech Classic Keyboard Plus (the black one.) Last saw it at Challenger going for $11 for members, but heard I may be able to get it for sub-$10 at SLS. Time to contribute to the economy and go IT shopping soon.. But I've to get well first.. *sigh*

Time to get some work done...

Musical Discovery of the Week!

Heard this yesterday in church, when Colin (Ng) and Alan (Ong) were tinkling on the 1K and 2K respectively. They blended Be Thou My Vision with Satie's Gymnopedies #1. And it sounded quite quite good - the chords fit! So imagine the chords for the whole 1st phrase of Gymnopedies (GM7 / / DM7 / / ) accompanying one verse of Be Thou My Vision... Cool!
