An apology.

I haven't been in the best of moods lately (the past 2 weeks). I've been PMS-ing, my fuse seems to be getting shorter by the day, and I'm starting to snap at people. I just seem to be drained out and overwhelmed by all the work (official or otherwise) that's piling up. And also committments and obligations to keep... Have been told by some colleagues that I've been quite curt to them, especially in my responses to some of their questions. The thing is, I didn't mean it... And the worst part is.... I can't remember what I've said after that moment! I promise that any offence wasn't intentional!

I don't think my colleagues are the only ones to bear the grunt of it, so to anyone else I've offended lately, by my words and/or actions, I just wanna say...

I'M SORRY...

Corrinne May in concert

Just came home from Corrinne May's concert at UCC. I told myself I won't regret going, and I was right. Though it was a short 1h 40 min concert, she really engaged the audience with her candidness and friendly banter. And her voice! Man! Though it was quite obvious she wasn't really feeling well, her notes were almost all pitch-perfect! No wrong notes on the piano too, though the wire of her headset kept getting in the way. Really inspired me to play and sing at my piano! Some of the words to her songs really ministered and touched me, especially Fly Away. I nearly cried while hearing it! Now, I'm eagerly waiting for Clement to _________ the 1st album, and am waiting anxiouly for her latest album to be released! One concert I really enjoyed and I think it's every cent well spent. Hope there'll be more of such concerts...! :)

Hilarious Delicious Delirious!

This was the result of my MSN conversation with Val last night. Won't tell you how we got there, but will tell you how it started.

Went to City Harvest Church yesterday for service, under Kelvin's and Bryan's invitation. Delirious? was leading worship, which was what made me go there, otherwise I would not have gone. I had to keep reminding myself that I'm there to worship God, not to watch a Christian band perform. It was possible for some songs, especially those I'm more familiar with. But for their newer songs, the words didn't really speak to me. Not worshipful enough. Otherwise, it was a very powerful worship, and I found myself reciting The Lord's Prayer with the conviction I never have had before. As for the message, it revealed quite a number of things to me, and the pastor made it easy for the congregation to follow.

I guess what makes a City Harvest service so "attractive" is that it is a very dynamic service, with dynamic speakers, a great band, much usage of multimedia (1st time I see announcements done in a video! Idea for LWMC???) Doctrine was ok. Guess I'm spiritually more mature to discern. But what I couldn't really accept is the "church politics". Will leave it as that.

Island Creamery!

Went down to Island Creamery @ Serene Centre to have ice-cream (duh!) after school today. They had quite interesting flavours - teh tarik, puloh hitam, pineapple tarts (!), horlicks (!!), amongst others. I went for the safer option - Cookies and Cream. It was alright. Felt that the Oreo bits were too big - would prefer it finer. The coffee wasn't all that great; the brownie was ok, though not warm and chocolaty enough. That place sure brought about different comments from different people. Some loved it, others just find it so-so.

Whatever the case, I don't feel so swakoo now, considering all the church youths are raving about that place...

But for me, I still prefer The Daily Scoop... But I won't mind giving Island Creamery another chance...
